In my past life I was a fashion designer AND an avid yogi. I moved to NYC in 2005 upon graduating from Syracuse University, and amidst a busy career in fashion I discovered a love for yoga and movement. For me, yoga was about healing, connecting, and learning more about myself. In 2011 I began teaching yoga full time, in both group and private settings. I specialize in alignment based Vinyasa, Yoga Tune Up®, and Aerial Yoga, and am a self described anatomy nerd. I love working with students of all different backgrounds - whether they have been doing yoga for years or are just beginning. I currently teach public classes at Om Factory Yoga Center and Equinox Fitness Clubs, and am the Co-Director of Om Factory School of Yoga's 200 Hour Teacher Training Program. 

My classes are about self exploration, and common themes center around anatomy, biomechanics, and self care. As a yoga practitioner and teacher, I have a vast interest in digging past the surface of shapes and the superficial, in order to help myself and my students connect more firmly to the core of who they are. My philosophy is not about making poses or shapes, but about empowering students to connect to how they feel to create an experience for themselves.  I, myself, seek out teachers who support and ignite deep learning and self discovery, and am proud to have studied with so many wonderful educators. Most notably, Jill Miller, creator of the Yoga Tune Up® method, Roll Model Therapy Balls, and author of The Roll Model: A Step-by-Step Guide to Erase Pain, Improve Mobility, and Live Better in Your Body. 

When not teaching yoga or studying yoga myself, you can find me hanging out at a coffee shop or hanging with my husband and our 2 kitties (Cleo & Kennedy) by the water in Long Island City. Other things I love (besides my husband and my cats!) -- coffee, a great spin class, Ryan Adams, Christmas, my family, flannel, the ocean, design, travel, and the list goes on…!
